Dr. Luciano is Board Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Director of the Center for Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology and Medical Director, Bone Health and Osteoporosis Center at New Britain General Hospital. He is recognized internationally for his advanced work and research in infertility, endometriosis, pelvic pain, advanced endoscopic and laser surgery, and menopause. He has written, lectured extensively nationally and abroad, has authored approximately 100 scientific articles and has co-authored a major surgical textbook on laser laparoscopy, and has edited two books on laparoscopy and reproductive endocrinology. His exemplary reputation has attracted numerous research grants for studies he conducts at New Britain General Hospital. In addition, he is the past President of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and has been listed in the Best Doctors in America: Northeast Region for 1996-1997. In the August, 1997 issue of Good Housekeeping, Dr. Luciano was named one of the best 401 doctors for women in the United States. Dr. Luciano is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, he is Editor of the Journal of the American Association Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and a council member of the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy. He is Ad Hoc reviewer for the majority of gynecologic scientific journals.
